Charkas
Chakras are energy centers in the body in traditional Indian medicine and spiritual traditions. The seven main chakras are:
- Muladhara (Root) chakra, located at the base of the spine.
- Svadhisthana (Sacral) chakra, located in the lower abdomen.
- Manipura (Solar Plexus) chakra, located in the stomach area.
- Anahata (Heart) chakra, located in the chest.
- Vishuddha (Throat) chakra, located in the throat.
- Ajna (Third Eye) chakra, located in the forehead between the eyes.
- Sahasrara (Crown) chakra, located at the top of the head.
Each chakra is associated with a specific color, element, and function, and is believed to govern certain physical, emotional, and spiritual states. It is believed that when these chakras are balanced and open, a person can achieve optimal physical and emotional health, and a higher level of spiritual awareness.
The seven main chakras are traditionally associated with the following colors:
- Muladhara (Root) chakra - red
- Svadhisthana (Sacral) chakra - orange
- Manipura (Solar Plexus) chakra - yellow
- Anahata (Heart) chakra - green
- Vishuddha (Throat) chakra - blue
- Ajna (Third Eye) chakra - indigo
- Sahasrara (Crown) chakra - violet or white
It is worth noting that different traditions might have slightly variations in the colors association, but they tend to keep the same 7 main chakras and the colors mentioned above are the most common. Additionally, some traditions may associate additional colors or hues with specific chakras or use different names for the chakras.
